Monica Kauakahi

Growing up on Kaua’i with four younger siblings, birth was a natural thing to actively take part in & I observed that the right emotional, physical, & educational support could make all the difference in the birthing arena. As an adult I attended my sister’s first birth & experienced firsthand the power of holding space for a laboring mama, & consequently became interested in trauma prevention in pregnancy & labor.

  

My professional background is education, & I’ve learned no teaching can happen without active listening. My goal is to listen in order to help mamas have a safe, memorable, & empowering birthing experience.
